John O'Neill, a graduate of William
Mitchell College of Law in 1988, John made his way directly to the world of business.
His career in the legal market began at West Publishing and he also managed legal
search firms in Chicago and the Twin Cities before joining Search Partners
as a founding partner. John has lived in what he affectionately terms "St.
Small " most of his life. He has a bug for travel that began while he was studying
abroad in Ireland and England while at St. John's University and also during a summer
in London while attending William Mitchell College of Law. He continually confuses
his partners by declaring that his family (wife Molly and children Natalie and Tommy)
will be going "Up North" for the weekend. John also has a passion for
golf and though it may not be much of an accomplishment has the lowest handicap
in the firm.
Ross M. Gullo, a lifelong Chicagoan
- not necessarily synonymous with "long-suffering Cub fan" - Ross originally
set out from the University of Illinois in Urbana with his degree in Communications
to work for CBS News. Of course, that was back in the days when the names of Cronkite
and Morrow were recognized and respected. Nevertheless, undaunted, Ross' first career
in the communications field spanned 20 years. In the mid-nineties, Ross embarked
on his 2nd career as an executive search professional and was an original founding
partner of Search Partners. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Gullo managed
his own successful legal search firm for attorneys in Chicago. His expertise includes
law and non-profit executives and he has built his practice with a dedication to
the principal of Customer first. Oh, and did we mention that he shot an 86 at The
Old Course at St. Andrews Scotland last year?
